Mini Herb & Bacon Cheese Balls Appetizer

These Mini Herb & Bacon Cheese Balls are a quick and easy appetizer that's full of flavor both on the inside and with the outside coating! They're almost always a crowd pleaser and can serve up to 22 people in a matter of 15 minutes.

Ingredients to make mini cheese ball appetizer:

  • 12 oz. Cream Cheese (1 1/2 8 oz blocks)
  • 1 cup Finely Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • 3 tbsp. Plain Greek Yogurt
  • 1 tbsp. Parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp. Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp. Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp. Black Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt

Ingredients to make the herb coating:

  • 1 package Wellington Traditional Water Crackers, for serving
  • 3/4 cup Walnuts, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup Cooked Bacon, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup Dried Cranberries, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp. Parsley, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp. Chives, chopped
  • Zest of 1 Lemon

Ingredients

Servings: 20-22

For the cheese filling:

  • 12 oz. Cream Cheese (1 1/2 8 oz blocks)
  • 1 cup Finely Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • 3 tbsp. Plain Greek Yogurt
  • 1 tbsp. Parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp. Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp. Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp. Black Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt

For the herb coating:

  • 1 package Wellington Traditional Water Crackers, for serving
  • 3/4 cup Walnuts, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup Cooked Bacon, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup Dried Cranberries, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp. Parsley, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp. Chives, chopped
  • Zest of 1 Lemon

Instructions

  1. In the bowl of a stand mixer, add the cream cheese, mozzarella, yogurt, parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Using the paddle attachment, beat until creamy and well combined, about 1-2 minutes.
  2. Roll 1 tablespoon of the mixture per cheese ball.
  3. In a separate bowl, stir together the finely chopped walnuts, bacon, cranberries, parsley, chives, and lemon zest.
  4. Coat each cheese ball in the mixture.
  5. Place each cheese ball on a Wellington Traditional Water Cracker. Enjoy!
