Easy Steak Crostini with Creamy Horseradish Sauce

·

These Easy Steak Crostini with Creamy Horseradish Sauce are one the easiest appetizers that will WOW a crowd without the hard work tagging along! ;)

How to make crostini?

  1. Preheat oven to broil on HIGH.
  2. Slice the bread into twelve 1/2" thick slices. Brush or drizzle both sides of the bread with olive oil.
  3. Toast for 2-3 minutes on each side. Keep an eye on it to ensure it doesn't burn. While still warm, rub the bread slices with the garlic cloves.

Don't get skimpy on the olive oil because that's what helps the crostini to come out a beautiful golden color!

How to make a pan seared steak?

Pan seared steaks are my go to in the winter season, and honestly, sometimes in the summer months too! If done properly, you'll have a beautiful crust and a tender inside.

  1. Let the steak sit out a room temperature for at least 20 minutes.
  2. Heat up a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat until hot, about 4-5 minutes.
  3. Season both sides of the steak with salt.
  4. Add 1 tbsp olive oil to the skillet, then carefully add the steak.
  5. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness.
  6. Let the steak rest for at least 3-5 minutes before slicing.
