Mini Herb & Bacon Cheese Balls Appetizer
A quick and easy appetizer that's full of flavor both on the inside and with the outside coating!
Ingredients
Servings: 20-22
For the cheese filling:
- 12 oz. Cream Cheese (1 1/2 8 oz blocks)
- 1 cup Finely Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- 3 tbsp. Plain Greek Yogurt
- 1 tbsp. Parsley, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp. Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp. Onion Powder
- 1 tsp. Black Pepper
- 1/2 tsp. Salt
For the herb coating:
- 1 package Wellington Traditional Water Crackers, for serving
- 3/4 cup Walnuts, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup Cooked Bacon, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup Dried Cranberries, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp. Parsley, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp. Chives, chopped
- Zest of 1 Lemon
Instructions
- In the bowl of a stand mixer, add the cream cheese, mozzarella, yogurt, parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Using the paddle attachment, beat until creamy and well combined, about 1-2 minutes.
- Roll 1 tablespoon of the mixture per cheese ball.
- In a separate bowl, stir together the finely chopped walnuts, bacon, cranberries, parsley, chives, and lemon zest.
- Coat each cheese ball in the mixture.
- Place each cheese ball on a Wellington Traditional Water Cracker. Enjoy!
