What is Purecane?

Purecane Baking Sweeteners (aka fermented sugarcane Reb M) are zero-calorie and low-glycemic sweeteners that can be used in replacement of normal sugars to reduce your intake of sugar, calories, and carbohydrates in your daily diet.

What makes them different than other brands is that it is naturally derived from sugarcane for the healthiest, best-tasting sweeteners that have NO impact on blood sugar levels, no artificial chemicals, and no weird aftertaste!

How to make a healthier tiramisu?

  • Purecane's All-Natural, Zero Calorie Baking Sweetener already takes you a huge step forward, as it replace traditional Granulated Cane Sugar.
  • Another alternative to the rich marscapone is to use cream cheese; however, you may have that slight tang rather than an overall mild sweetness from the marscapone.

Can I make Tiramisu ahead of time?

Absolutely! Tiramisu is best when left in the fridge to rest for at least 2 hours, but I actually left this exact tiramisu in the fridge for about 12 hours before serving and it was even better than I could've imagined! All the espresso is absorbed in the lady fingers and the flavors from each layer begin to meld into this beautiful dessert.

How to store leftover Tiramisu?

I recommend pre-slicing the tiramisu leftovers before storing away in one of two options:

  • Store in an air-tight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Store in an air-tight, freezer-safe container in the freezer for up to one month. Must pre-slice! Let thaw in the fridge 4 hours to overnight before enjoying.

Ingredients

Servings: 12

  • 2 1/4 cup Heavy Cream
  • 8 oz Mascarpone Cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup Purecane Baking Sweetener
  • 2 tsp. Vanilla Extract
  • 1 1/2 cups Cold Espresso
  • (Optional) 3-4 tbsp. Marsala Wine
  • 1 7-oz Package of Lady Fingers
  • 1/2 cup Cocoa Powder

Instructions

  • In the bowl of stand mixer, use the whisk attachment to whip the heavy cream and baking sweetener until fluffy and stiff peaks, about 4-5 minutes. Be careful not to overmix. Whisk in the mascarpone cheese and vanilla extract until smooth. Set aside in the fridge.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the cold espresso and marsala wine together.
  • Briefly dip each finger, one at a time, into the espresso mixture, then line for a single layer on the bottom of an 8x8" serving dish.
  • Add half of the mascarpone mixture on top of the lady fingers, using a spatula to evenly spread it out. Repeat the process with the lady fingers and remaining mascarpone mixture.
  • Sift the cocoa powder on top of the final layer of the mascarpone mixture, then place in the fridge to rest for at least one hour before serving. Enjoy!
