Homemade Peach Ring Gummies

·

The other day at the movie theater, I was using the Yuka App because I was genuinely SO curious about all my favorite nostalgic candies - one of them being peach rings. And when I realized how sugar-y and the artificial flavors in them, I was shocked!! So, let's make some healthier Homemade Peach Ring Gummies that can even be made sour!

How to make Homemade Peach Ring Gummies?

  1. Slice and de-pit the ripe peaches.

Can I use frozen peaches?

Yes! I recommend letting them thaw, then patting them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture and liquids.

  1. Add the sliced peaches and juice to a high speed blender or food processor. Pulse until smooth.

  1. Strain through a fine mesh sieve over a saucepan. Add the maple syrup and mix well.

  1. Add the gelatin and lightly mix in. Let sit for 5 minutes.

  1. Place the saucepan over medium heat to cook untouched for 3-4 minutes, until the mixture is fully liquid again. Remove from heat again.

  1. Use a small spoon to spoon the mixture into the silicone molds. Gently transfer to the fridge to set, about 3-4 hours.

  1. Toss in sugar or a citric acid-sugar mixture to enjoy! Keep stored in the fridge.

How to store homemade peach rings?

Keep the homemade peach rings stored in the fridge. Being that they are homemade without artificial flavorings or preservatives, the sugar will naturally help the peach ring release moisture over time. So you could keep them store on a paper towel in an air tight container.

I truly hope you all enjoy this treasured recipe that has nestled its way into our hearts here in the ABM kitchen! ’till next time… xxL
