(Easy & Healthy) 4-Ingredient Chocolate Chip Pancakes

These (Easy & Healthy) 4-Ingredient Chocolate Chip Pancakes are fluffy, easy to make, and the best way to start your productive morning ;)

Are oatmeal pancakes healthier than regular pancakes?

That's a tricky one! Overall, since oatmeal pancakes are made with whole grains and naturally sweetened with whole ingredients, they do keep breakfast on the healthy side. And they taste just as delicious as restaurant-worthy pancakes if you add a little vanilla extract and cinammon ;)

Also, being that we are using Oat Flour (rolled oats pulsed into a flour-like texture)... these pancakes are rich in nutrients such as manganese, molybdenum, phosphorous, copper, biotin, vitamin B1, magnesium, chromium, and fiber!

What oats to use for pancakes?

I use both quick oats and old-fashioned rolled oats. Either work just fine! As long as they are pulsed to a fine flour-like texture.

What are the calories in oatmeal pancakes?

Without the chocolate chips, I calculated the nutrition for these pancakes below:

  • Calories: 240
  • Total Fat: 5.1g
  • Total Carbohydrates: 41.9g
  • Protein: 8.8g
  • Vitamin D: 8mcg
  • Calcium: 90mg
  • Iron: 2mg
  • Potassium: 515mg

Can you freeze oatmeal pancakes?

Stack the cooked (and cooled) pancakes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Place in the freezer for a couple of hours. Then, transfer the pancake to a freezer safe bag for up to 3 weeks.

How to reheat oatmeal pancakes?

Reheat frozen pancakes in the oven at 350F. Place the pancakes in a single layer on a baking sheet, then cover with foil. Bake for 5-10 minutes. Enjoy warm!

Now, it’s time to grab our aprons and begin baking deliciousness! ’till next time! xxL

(Easy & Healthy) 4-Ingredient Chocolate Chip Pancakes

Fluffy, easy to make, and the best way to start your productive morning!

Servings: 2

  • 1 cup Rolled Oats
  • 1/2 tsp. Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Banana, ripe
  • 2 tbsp. Hot Water
  • 2-3 tbsp. Mini Chocolate Chips

  1. Heat up griddle. Brush with a little olive oil to grease.
  2. Pulse all ingredients together in a food process or blender until a smooth batter. (If using a big blender, pulse the oatmeal first until a flour-like texture.)
  3. Adjust batter texture to desired consistency, adding more water to thin it out or more flour to make it thicker.
  4. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Cook the pancakes on the hot griddle, using 1/4 cup batter per pancake. Flip once you see bubbles, then cook an additional 1 minutes (both sides should be golden). Enjoy warm with fresh fruit and maple syrup!
