Salty olives stuffed with creamy goat cheese, battered and fried to crispy perfection! The day I made these Crispy Goat Cheese Stuffed Fried Olives, I put them on the counter and walked out for work. When I came back 10 minutes later, my family had eaten them all! It's safe to say this is one crowd pleasing appetizer!

Ingredients you'll need to make Crispy Goat Cheese Stuffed Fried Olives:

  • 6 oz. Pitted Olives
  • 4 oz. Smoked Goat Cheese, substitute with any goat cheese flavor
  • 1/3 cup All Purpose Flour
  • 2 large Eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup Panko Breadcrumbs
  • 2 cups Frying Oil

How to Make Crispy Goat Cheese Stuffed Fried Olives:

  1. Stuff the pitted olives with the goat cheese.
  2. Line up three (3) separate bowls together. In the first bowl, add the flour. In the second bowl, add the beaten eggs. In the third bowl, add the breadcrumbs.
  3. Batter the olives in the flour, then the beaten eggs, then the breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat up the frying oil to 400F.
  5. Fry the battered olives in the hot oil for 1-3 minuets, moving them around with a slotted spoon to help them fry evenly on all sides.
  6. Use a slotted spoon to remove the fried olives and place on a paper towel lined plate to drain excess oils. (Optional: Sprinkle with sea salt or flaky salt.)

How to know when the fried olives are done:

The photo above is a pretty accurate way to tell if they are done! The color should be a deep golden brown. Since we are not needing to "cook" the olives themselves, we are just looking to get that crispy exterior.
