Crispy Goat Cheese Stuffed Fried Olives
Salty olives stuffed with creamy goat cheese, battered and fried to crispy perfection!
Ingredients
For the Fried Olives:
- 6 oz. Pitted Olives
- 4 oz. Smoked Goat Cheese, substitute with any goat cheese flavor
- 1/3 cup All Purpose Flour
- 2 large Eggs, beaten
- 1 cup Panko Breadcrumbs
- 2 cups Frying Oil
For the Garlic Aioli:
- 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
- 3 Garlic Cloves, finely minced
- 1 Lemon, juiced
- 1/2 tsp. EACH: Salt + Black Pepper
Instructions
For the Fried Olives:
- Stuff the pitted olives with the goat cheese.
- Line up three (3) separate bowls together. In the first bowl, add the flour. In the second bowl, add the beaten eggs. In the third bowl, add the breadcrumbs.
- Batter the olives in the flour, then the beaten eggs, then the breadcrumbs.
- Heat up the frying oil to 400F.
- Fry the battered olives in the hot oil for 1-3 minuets, moving them around with a slotted spoon to help them fry evenly on all sides.
- Use a slotted spoon to remove the fried olives and place on a paper towel lined plate to drain excess oils. (Optional: Sprinkle with sea salt or flaky salt.)
For the Garlic Aioli:
- Whisk all ingredients together vigorously. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Enjoy with the warm fried olives!
