Healthier Cheddar Bay Biscuits (Red Lobster Copycat)

·

There's something special about making copycat recipes at home! And these Cheddar Bay Biscuits (Red Lobster Copycat) are right up that alley. They take 20 minutes to make, are fluffy, rich, cheddar-y, and taste a million times better made from scratch!

Tips & Tricks:

  • Use your hands to press the cold butter (sliced into small cubes) and olive oil into the flour mixture to help create those flaky layers in the biscuits.
  • Use a large ice cream scooper to scoop out the dough and place the biscuits on the pan. This will help them turn out more evenly-sized and rounded (unlike mine LOL).

How to add extra flavor:

If you are feeling a little ~extra~ then I recommend these additions to make them beyond flavorful!

  • Mix up the Cheeses: Add half sharp cheddar cheese and half shredded pepper jack cheese.
  • Add More Flavors: Add a tablespoon of Italians seasoning for more aromatic flavors.

Now, it’s time to grab our aprons and begin baking deliciousness! ’till next time! xxL
