Prosciutto, Rosemary, & Parmesan Savory Scones
Ingredients
- 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 2 1/2 tsp. Baking Powder
- 2 tsp. Granulated Cane Sugar
- 1/2 tsp. Sea Salt
- 1/4 tsp. Ground Nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp. Black Pepper
- 1 large Egg
- 1/2 cup Milk of choice
- 1/4 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 2.5 oz Prosciutto, (chopped)
- 1 tbsp. Fresh Rosemary, (finely chopped)
- 1/4 cup Goat Cheese, (broken into small pieces)
- 1/4 cup Parmesan, (finely chopped)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450F. Line a baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, nutmeg, black pepper, and sugar.
- Add in the olive oil, then use a fork to mix until crumb-like texture.
- Mix in the chopped prosciutto, parmesan, goat cheese, and rosemary.
- Add in the whisked egg and milk. Use the fork to mix the batter until well-combined.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to a circular shape that is 3/4" thick. Cut into 8 triangles.
- Evenly spread out the scones on the prepared baking pan with 1" space inbetween each. Brush each scone with either olive oil or milk, and garnish with a little salt. Bake for 9-11 minutes, until slightly golden brown.
