Honey & Pistachio Whipped Feta Dip

My favorite high protein appetizer that is super easy to make in the blender, and ready in just 10 minutes! This Honey & Pistachio Whipped Feta Dip can be made with no fuss and delicious when dipped into with Patagonia Provision's NEW Organic Crackers 👩🏼🌾🌿

Ingredients you'll need:

  • 1 8-oz block Feta
  • 1 cup Plain Greek Yogurt
  • 2-3 Garlic Cloves, peeled
  • 3 tbsp. Honey + more for garnishing
  • 2 tbsp. Olive Oil
  • ¼ cup Pistachios, crushed, for garnishing
  • Salt & Black Pepper, to taste

Substitutes for Feta Cheese:

With my other feta-based recipes, I do get asked often what's the best substitutes for those that don't like the taste of feta. And while feta is unique in it's flavor and texture, here are a few suggestions that will be just as yummy!

  • Whole Milk Ricotta, strain out as much liquid as possible
  • Cottage Cheese, again you'll want to strain the liquids
  • Labneh
  • Persian Feta
  • Goat's Cheese

Substitutes for the Pistachios:

Pistachios are what makes this whipped feta dip extra nutty and deepens the flavor; however, it can either be left out for those with nut allergies or substitutes with any of the below.

  • Walnuts
  • Toasted Pecans
  • Pecans tossed in maple syrup and sea salt, then baked in the oven until caramelized (!!)
  • Cinnamon Sugar Coated Almonds
  • Toasted Hazelnuts

Can Whipped Feta Dip be Made in Advance?

Yes, you can prep this whipped feta dip up to 2-3 days in advance. Store in an airtight container in the fridge until ready to serve, then you'll just garnish with the extra honey and pistachios to enjoy!

Ingredients

Servings: 6-8

  • 1 8-oz block Feta
  • 1 cup Plain Greek Yogurt
  • 2-3 Garlic Cloves, peeled
  • 3 tbsp. Honey + more for garnishing
  • 2 tbsp. Olive Oil
  • ¼ cup Pistachios, crushed, for garnishing
  • Salt & Black Pepper, to taste
  • Patagonia Provisions Organic Rosemary & Garlic Crackers, for serving
  • Patagonia Provisions Organic Sourdough Sea Salt Crackers, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a high speed blender, combine the feta, yogurt, garlic, honey, and olive oil. Blend until very smooth, then season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  2. Transfer the whipped feta to a dip dish to serve with the organic crackers.
  3. Garnish the whipped feta with extra honey and the crushed pistachios to enjoy!
