“"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” ~ Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
My Easy Mongolian Chicken is an American-Asian dish that's bound to impress your guests this weekend! It takes about 20 minutes to make, and is the perfect combination of sweet, spicy, and savory for all those comfort food delights.
To Serve:
1. Toss the chopped chicken, flour, salt, and black pepper to evenly coat.
2. In a large pot over medium high heat, heat up the olive oil for 1 minute.
3. Add the chicken to cook for 5-6 minutes, until almost fully cooked and beginning to brown.
4. Add the minced ginger, garlic, and red chili (or 1 habanero for substitute). Sauté for 2-3 minutes, until fragrant.
5. Add the soy sauce, broth, sugar, and hoisin sauce to stir until well combined. Add 1-2 tsp. more flour for a thicker sauce.
6. Cook until the sauce thickens to coat the chicken, about 4-6 minutes.
7. Enjoy warm with basmati rice, scallions, and avocado, garnished with a lime slice and sesame seeds!
