More or less, a tuna melt is a fancy grilled cheese made with canned tuna.
An article I once read by Ina Garten says that the best kind of tuna is tuna canned in oil. However, I use canned albacore tuna and drain the "water' out before adding the tuna into the bowl.
Tuna melts are best enjoy immediately after cooking, as the tuna is moist and may make the bread soggy if you wait too long. Best enjoyed while the bread is crispy and the cheese is melted!
Now, it’s time to grab our aprons and begin baking deliciousness! ’till next time! xxL
