Strawberries & Cream Croissant French Toast Bake


This Strawberries & Cream Croissant French Toast Bake will have anyone you serve it to you falling in love with you.... that's how delicious it is! It's easy to make, satisfying to eat, and is almost the definition of the bright blooming Spring season.

How to make a French toast bake?

Think about how you would make normal French toast. Then, subtract all the mess. Because the only difference is that everything is being tossed together in a baking dish for you to allow the oven to do it's magic.

  1. Preheat oven.
  2. Make the cream mixture.
  3. Add the sliced bread or croissants to a lightly greased baking dish.
  4. Pour the cream mixture over top.
  5. Bake covered for 20 minutes, then uncovered for 20-30 minutes, until golden brown on top and firm in the center.
  6. Enjoy warm with fresh berries, maple syrup, and whipped cream!

  • Fresh Berries
  • Whipped Cream
  • Dusting of Powdered Sugar
  • Maple Syrup
  • Milk
  • Coffee / Tea
  • Yogurt Parfaits
  • Eggs
  • Bacon (!!!)

Can you make ahead French toast breakfast bakes?

Yes! I would recommend working up to the final step of baking the breakfast bake. Simply, cover it tightly and place in the fridge up to the day prior to baking.

Strawberries & Cream Croissant French Toast Bake

This sweet breakfast bake will have anyone you serve it to falling in love with you ;)



Servings: 5-6

  • 5 Plain Croissants, sliced into quarters
  • 1/4 cup Maple Syrup
  • 4 large Eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups Whole Milk
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 tsp. Fine Sea Salt
  • Whipped Cream, for serving
  • Fresh Strawberries, sliced, for serving
  • Maple Syrup, for serving


  1. Preheat oven to 350F. Lightly grease a 9x13" baking dish.
  2. Add the sliced croissants to the prepared dish in a single layer.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, maple syrup, vanilla, and salt until smooth and creamy.
  4. Evenly pour the cream mixture over the croissants.
  5. Cover with aluminum foil. Set aside in the fridge for 15-30 minutes.
  6. Bake covered for 20 minutes, then uncovered for 20-30 minutes. It is done when tops are golden brown and center is firm.
  7. Serve immediately with maple syrup, whipped cream, and fresh strawberries.
