Ep. 9 of my Cozy Soups & Grilled Cheese Series! ⛷ Today, we’re making a 10-Minute Chili Crisp Dumpling Soup that is incredibly effortless meal for after work or school.
Ingredients you'll need:
Soup Dumplings
Broth of choice
Carrots
Scallions
Low Sodium Soy Sauce
Chili Crisp Oil
Salt & Black Pepper, to taste
Additional ingredients to add extra nutrition:
Cabbage - Saute in olive oil prior to adding the broth and remaining ingredients.
Bone Broth - Replace the regular beef or chicken broth with nutrient-dense bone broth.
Baby Spinach - Can either be sautéed prior or just stir in with the soup dumplings once broth is boiling to wilt.
Grated Fresh Ginger or Garlic - Both have incredible antioxidants!
Can Dumpling Soup be Made in Advance?
Yes, this dumpling soup recipe makes amazing leftovers for work or school the next day. You simply would want to store in a microwave-safe container with lid in the fridge up to 2 days. Reheat either on stovetop or in the microwave in 30 second intervals. Keep in mind that dumpling will naturally continue to absorb the broth, so they may become softer over time.

In a soup pot over medium high heat, combine the broth, sliced carrots, scallions, soy sauce, and chili crisp oil. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Bring to a boil, then add the soup dumplings. Reduce heat to LOW, cover with a lid, and let steam for 3 minutes.
Enjoy warm with sesame seeds, additional chili crisp oil and scallions to preference.

My whole family loved this soup! The only modification was adding baby bok choy. We will definitely make again.
