Ingredients

  • 1 Baguette or Rustic Italian Loaf
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan, grated
  • 4 tbsp. Unsalted Butter, softened room temperature
  • 4 tbsp. Olive Oil
  • 4 Garlic Cloves, grated
  • 1/3 cup Italian Parsley, finely chopped
  • 1/4 tsp. Salt
  • 1/4 tsp. Black Pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400F.
  • In a small bowl, stir together the grated parmesan, chopped parsley, softened butter, olive oil, grated garlic, salt, and black pepper.
  • Either slice the crusty loaf into thick 1" pieces or cut deep slits that's 1" apart (but don't cut all the way through).
  • Generously spread the mixture inside each slit or on each slice.
  • Option #1: If cutting deep slits, wrap the bread in foil, then place the bread on a baking sheet to bake for 10-15 minutes, or crisp and golden brown.
  • Option #2: If baking each individual slice, place on a baking sheet to bake for 5-10 minutes, or crisp and golden brown.
