How to Make Crostini?

  1. Turn your oven on to BROIL.
  2. Slice the baguette into ½” slices.
  3. Place on a parchment paper lined sheet pan and generously drizzle with olive oil.
  4. Broil for 1-2 minutes, flip the bread slices, and broil another 1-2 minutes, until golden.

How to Perfectly Pan Seared Steak?

My grandmother taught me this method and it's the only way I've cooked steak for yearssss - it's so good!

  1. Preheat oven to 400F.
  2. Heat up a cast iron skillet over medium high heat for 2-3 minutes, until hot.
  3. Season the steak generously with salt and black pepper.
  4. Add 1 tablespoon olive oil into the hot skillet.
  5. Add the steak into the skillet to sear for 2-3 minutes untouched, then flip.
  6. Sear another 1-2 minutes, then add the butter and rosemary sprigs to cook an additional 1 minute. Baste the steak in the melted butter during that last minute of cooking.
  7. Carefully transfer the skillet into the oven to finish cooking another 3-4 minutes, or until desired wellness.
  8. Remove the steak from the skillet to rest at least 5 minutes before thinly slicing.

TIP: Let the steak rest at room temperature for 20-30 minutes prior to cooking. This helps the steak to not only cook faster but also form those golden crust edges will all love!

What is BUF Creamery? This is a cool one!

BUF Creamery is committed to crafting delicious, healthy and responsible cheeses all from the milk of free ranging and grass fed water buffalo.

Their buffalo are milked with their young right next to them. Why? This closeness stimulated the mother who is able to release milk with the healthiest nutrients and finest flavor. This process allows the buffalo to produce a better quality of milk while also ensuring they live longer, happier lives. Because a healthy buffalo produces healthy milk which means a healthier you!

Their raw milk is then transported carefully to their factory, which is specifically designed to process buffalo milk. The raw milk is transformed there into delicious mozzarellas, ricottas, burrata, and Andean yogurts! How cool!!

What is Burrata?

BUF Creamery Burrata has an outer mozzarella cheese encasing a creamy interior of cows milk and water buffalo cream. Hand tied with their signature knot.

It's amazing on its own sprinkled with a little salt and olive oil and spread on bread, crackers, or in caprese salad! It's also an American Cheese Society Winner!
