This Brown Sugar Glazed Shrimp Appetizer is the salty-sweet (and a bit spicy) combo that will have your guest asking for the recipe! The crispy bacon caramelizes with the brown sweetener, while the shrimp is seasoned with a kick.

Can bacon wrapped shrimp be made ahead of time?

Yes, I recommend prepping up to the point of cooking the shrimp. Place in an airtight container and store in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Bacon wrapped shrimp ingredients:

  • 6 strips of Sugar-free Bacon, sliced in half to make 12 pieces
  • 12 large Shrimps, peeled and deveined, about 1 pound
  • 2 tbsp. Purecane Zero Calorie Brown Sweetener
  • 1 tbsp. Ground Cayenne
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 1 tsp. Black Pepper
  • Fresh Chives, for garnishing
  • Ranch, for serving

Yes, you reheat them in the microwave or broil them for about 2-3 minutes.

How to cook bacon wrapped shrimp on the grill?

Heat grill to approximately 450F. Place the wrapped shrimp on the grill to cook until bacon is crispy and golden brown, about 4-5 minutes on each side.

Servings: 12

  • 6 strips of Sugar-free Bacon, sliced in half to make 12 pieces
  • 12 large Shrimps, peeled and deveined, about 1 pound
  • 2 tbsp. Purecane Zero Calorie Brown Sweetener
  • 1 tbsp. Ground Cayenne
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 1 tsp. Black Pepper
  • Fresh Chives, for garnishing
  • Ranch, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425F.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the cayenne, brown sweetener, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Dip one side of a shrimp into the mix, then wrap in half piece of bacon. Repeat with remaining shrimp.
  4. Sprinkle each wrapped shrimp with any remaining seasoning mix.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until bacon is crispy and golden.
  6. Garnish with freshly chopped chives and serve with ranch. Enjoy warm!
