Old Westminster is sibling-owned winery in Maryland, inspired by seasonal climate and ingredients, unique to their area. When they reached out to me about the Wine Club for their Specialty Pantry Wine Set, I couldn't be happier. Cooking and baking with wines brings out incredibly flavor and helps with texture in a variety of ways. For example, in this chocolate pudding, their Orange Pantry Wine makes it extra velvety smooth. But when cooking with chicken, it would make the meat extra tender.

Can Chocolate Pudding be Made in Advance?
Yes, you can make chocolate pudding the day before serving; however, I like mine a little less firm so I'll make it just the hour prior. But that's totally just my preference and both ways are delicious!

“"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” ~ Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, combine ¼ cup milk and cornstarch. Whisk until paste-like and smooth. Add the remaining milk, sugar salt, cinnamon, espresso powder, and vanilla. Whisk until smooth and no clumps.
Place over medium heat and whisk constantly until thickened, about 3-4 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in the chocolate until fully incorporated and melted, then stir in the orange wine.
Transfer to individual ramekins. Refrigerate at least 30 minutes to 2 hours (and up to 3 days).
Top with freshly whipped cream and chocolate shavings to enjoy!
