Tomato Bacon Cheddar Grilled Cheese
A recipe my Poppa has been making me since I was a child! It's cheesy with juicy tomatoes and crispy bacon for an adventurous grilled cheese.
Ingredients
Servings: 1-2
- BUBBL’R Blood Orange Mango Mingl’r, for serving
- 2 slices Sourdough Bread
- 2 tbsp. Sour Cream, or softened goat cheese
- 1/3 cup Freshly Grated Cheddar Cheese
- 2 slices of Tomato
- Salt & Freshly Cracked Black Pepper
- Freshly Chopped Dill
- 1 tbsp. Butter, softened
- (Optional) 1 tbsp. Everything Bagel Seasoning, or Sesame Seeds
Instructions
- On one slice of sourdough, evenly spread the sour cream or goat cheese.
- Add the grated cheddar cheese on top, then layer with the tomato slices. Season with salt, freshly cracked black pepper, and fresh dill to taste.
- Sandwich with the second slice of sourdough. Butter both outside pieces of bread with the softened butter.
- (Optional: Sprinkle the seasoning on both sides of the buttered bread.)
- Add to a heated griddle over medium heat. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side.
